We have been working on perimeter this week. The students learned how to find the perimeter of crackers and cheese slices. It was a yummy lesson!
Reminder: Continue working on getting the multiplication facts memorized! We will be starting division next week and they MUST have the facts memorized for this skill.
We finished up the week by reading about some unusual plants. The students also learned how plants in extreme climates are able to survive.
The students have been learning how to find passages in the Bible. They picked this skill up rather easily! We even looked up some of the stories from our religion book and found that they really were like the stories in the Bible.
A focus has been on Washington, DC. They learned why our nation’s capital is between Maryland and Virginia. They also learned about the White House and Capitol building.
The students finished all of the lower case letters and are moving on to the capital letters.
