St. John Vianney Catholic School
December 20, 2018
This week has spent spent working on Christmas gifts for you, decorating the classroom, and moving forward with our writing, letter sounds, and Math. We love learning about the First Christmas and The Holy Family.
We had a blast caroling throughout the school with our friends from Ages and Stages and GSRP! What a fun tradition we have begun! The teachers told us their children enjoyed it. We only ventured through the other elementary classes. We are looking to expand this in 2019!!
We continued work on beginning sounds, especially /T/ and /O/.
We are continuing our work on recognizing patterns in Math as well as some of the books we read.
Our New Year’s Resolution as a class is to keep our hallway looking orderly. We know we are smart cookies and are capable of doing this, even in Kindergarten. We make sure our backpacks our zipped and our boots/shoes have their toes pointing towards the wall. If you notice, the extra dress code items that have been in the hallway for you to go through have been put away. If you would like to go through them, please ask.
We are looking for some items for some of our STEM/tinkering projects. I will have a list posted outside of our door of items we are looking to have on hand. Thank you!
Please label all of your child’s winter clothes. We have many of the same coats and snow pants. Thank you!
Lunch orders need to be placed by Friday afternoon. Thank you!
The Kindergarten and Ages and Stages groups are combining forces this year to put together a Lego themed basket.
We hope you enjoy have a blessed Christmas. Vacation begins Friday, December 21 at noon. School will resume on Wednesday, January 2, 2019!!!
Lost: A tan travel pillow - Please check your child’s power down items to see if it traveled home with them yesterday:) Thank you!
