Please make sure your child has boots, snow pants, hat, and gloves. They will be going outside for recess during the winter and will want to play in the snow. Otherwise they are stuck standing on the sidewalk.
We have been working on reviewing place value up to the hundred thousands.
Please work with your child on getting the addition facts memorized for speed and accuracy. The facts must be memorized.
The students have been reading nonfiction passages about unusual animals in each of the five vertebrate groups. They also learned how to use footnotes!
The students created a post on Seesaw to show what they learned about one of the vegetation regions of the United States. They could choose from the tundra, forest, grasslands, or desert.
A paper with the information on how to see your child’s work is going home Monday.

The 3rd graders learned about the domestic Church. We discussed how we first learn how to love our neighbors from our family. We also learned about St. Martin of Tours.
