Please make sure your child studies the list from Monday through Thursday.
We have been working on the multiplication facts for the 6’s, 7’s, and 8’s. The 6 strategy is very similar to the 3 strategy. We have been focusing on the concept of multiplication and how to use the strategies. Now it is time to start getting the facts memorized. Families will have to work with their child to help them master this CRITICAL skill.
Please make sure your child gets the “doubles” memorized. I sent home a letter and the “doubles” 2 weeks ago so they can be prepared. This will make the 4’s so much easier to get memorized.
The students started an informational text, Did Pilgrims Really Wear Black and White? This nonfiction text has many interesting facts about the first Thanksgiving that your child can share next week at dinner!
We are focusing on main idea and supporting details.
The students created their own chain reaction. It had to include a touching force, magnetic force, and evidence of gravity.
